Delhi to Goa Travel Packages 2027: 3–4 Night Plans & Budget
A 4-night Goa trip from Delhi usually costs about INR 30,000–58,000 per person, or roughly INR 60,000 to INR1.16 lakh for a couple, in the regular season. That covers return flights, a mid-range hotel, food, local travel and a few activities. Non-stop flights take about two and a half hours, and November to February is the most comfortable time to go, though Christmas–New Year week costs far more.
Whether you book everything yourself or compare Delhi to Goa travel packages, this guide covers flights and airports, when to go, North vs South Goa, ready 3-night and 4-night plans, a line-by-line budget and how to handle the Christmas rush. You can also browse all our Goa holiday packages.
Getting from Delhi to Goa: flights, airports and trains

Non-stop flights from Delhi take about 2 hours 30 minutes to 2 hours 45 minutes. IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet, Akasa Air and Air India Express all fly the route, so there are departures through the day.
Mopa or Dabolim: which Goa airport?
Goa has two airports. Manohar International Airport at Mopa (code GOX) is in Pernem in the far north, so it suits stays in Candolim, Calangute, Baga, Anjuna or Vagator. Dabolim (GOI), near Vasco da Gama, is closer to South Goa beaches such as Colva, Benaulim, Agonda and Palolem. If you split your stay, fly into Mopa and out of Dabolim (or the other way round) to avoid a long drive on your last day.
From Mopa, Kadamba (KTC) electric buses run to Calangute and Panaji for about INR 200 and to Margao for about INR 400. Taxis booked through the GoaMiles app and the state-run Goa Taxi App also serve the airport.
Flight fares by month
Approximate one-way fares from Delhi, based on fare-tracker data:
- June–July (monsoon): INR 3,200–4,500
- October: INR 5,000–9,000
- November: INR 5,500–10,000
- December: INR 7,000–13,000, and much higher in Christmas–New Year week
- January: INR 6,000–12,000
- February: INR 5,000–9,000
For peak months, book 45–60 days ahead; for Christmas and New Year, about 90 days ahead. Tuesday to Thursday departures are usually cheaper than weekends.
Delhi to Goa by train
The Hazrat Nizamuddin–Madgaon Rajdhani Express takes about 26.5 hours and runs twice a week. It makes sense only if you have time and enjoy long rail journeys; for a 3–4 night holiday, flying is the practical choice.
Best time to visit Goa from Delhi
- November to February: dry, sunny and pleasant, with January and February averaging around 25–26°C. This is peak season, so beaches are lively and prices are at their highest.
- March: still dry (barely any rain) and warming up. Crowds thin out and return fares often drop, which makes it good value.
- April and May: hot and humid, with daytime highs above 35°C. Fine for a pool-and-resort break during school holidays, less so for sightseeing in the afternoon.
- June to September: monsoon. July is the wettest month, the sea turns rough and swimming is not advised, but flights and hotels are at their cheapest and the countryside is very green.
- October: rain eases off and the season restarts, a good month to beat the December rush.
Goa Carnival falls in February, with float parades in several towns (the 2026 edition ran from 13 to 17 February). Check the 2027 dates before you book if you want to catch it, or avoid them if you prefer quieter streets.
Christmas and New Year in Goa: price spikes and tips
The last ten days of December are Goa's busiest. Reported one-way fares from Delhi in Christmas–New Year week run at INR18,000–35,000 or more, and hotel rates roughly triple between about 22 December and 2 January. The first half of December is noticeably cheaper, with hotel rates around 30–40% below the peak.
- Book flights and hotels as early as you can; waiting until December is the costliest option.
- Fly midweek and keep your dates flexible by a day or two.
- On 31 December, pre-book your taxi early in the day; traffic around Calangute and Baga crawls through the night.
- Carry your driving licence if you rent a scooter, as police checks increase over the holidays.
North Goa vs South Goa: where should you stay?
North Goa

Candolim, Calangute, Baga, Anjuna and Vagator are busier and livelier, with water sports, beach shacks, nightlife and the widest choice of budget and mid-range hotels. Fort Aguada and Chapora Fort are close by. North Goa suits first-timers, groups of friends and anyone who wants plenty to do. Families who want North Goa's convenience with less noise can look at Candolim rather than Baga.
South Goa

Colva, Benaulim, Majorda, Agonda and Palolem are quieter, with wide, calmer beaches and more resort-style hotels. South Goa works well for couples, families with young children and travellers bringing their parents. Evenings are calmer and taxi rides between places are longer. If it is your honeymoon, our Goa honeymoon guide covers romantic stays and experiences in detail.
