Paris and Switzerland Tour Package 2027: 7-Day Plan & Cost
A Paris and Switzerland tour package from India works best as a 7-night trip: 3 nights in Paris and 4 in the Swiss Alps, joined by a direct TGV Lyria train of about 3 to 4 hours. Packaged 6 to 7-night trips on our website are listed from about INR 2 lakh to INR 2.4 lakh per person (roughly INR 4 lakh to INR 4.8 lakh per couple), and one Schengen visa covers both countries.
Paris and Switzerland make a natural pair for a first Europe trip from India: one city of museums, cafés and the Eiffel Tower, and one country of lakes, snow peaks and scenic trains. Below: the route from Delhi, how to split your nights, train versus coach, costs per person and per couple, and whether a group departure or a private Swiss Paris tour package suits you. You can also browse our Paris holiday packages and Switzerland tour packages from India separately.
A 7-Day Paris and Switzerland Route from Delhi

Fly into Paris and out of Zurich (an "open-jaw" ticket) so you never backtrack. Air France and Air India fly nonstop from Delhi to Paris in roughly 9 to 10 hours, and nonstop flights also link Delhi and Zurich, so both ends of the trip can be direct.
How many nights in Paris and in Switzerland
- 6 nights: 2 in Paris and 4 in Switzerland. Enough for Paris highlights and two Swiss bases.
- 7 nights: 3 in Paris and 4 in Switzerland (2 in Lucerne, 2 in Interlaken). The most comfortable pace for a first trip.
- 8 to 9 nights: add a Disneyland Paris day for children, or a third Swiss base such as Montreux on Lake Geneva.
Day-by-day plan for 7 nights
- Day 1, Delhi to Paris: land, check in and take an easy evening walk along the Seine.
- Day 2, Paris highlights: Eiffel Tower (book online), Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe, and a Seine cruise after dark.
- Day 3, your choice: the Louvre and Montmartre, the Palace of Versailles, or a full day at Disneyland Paris with children.
- Day 4, Paris to Lucerne: morning TGV Lyria from Paris Gare de Lyon to Basel or Zurich, then a regional train to Lucerne. Evening at Chapel Bridge and the lakefront.
- Day 5, Lucerne mountain day: Mount Titlis for snow and its rotating cable car, or Mount Pilatus, plus a lake cruise.
- Day 6, Lucerne to Interlaken: take the scenic GoldenPass line, then spend the afternoon in the Lauterbrunnen valley.
- Day 7, Jungfraujoch: the "Top of Europe" station at 3,454 metres, about 2 hours 15 minutes each way by train from Interlaken.
- Day 8, home: train to Zurich airport and fly back to Delhi.
Paris to Switzerland: TGV Train vs Coach vs Flight

Train (TGV Lyria): the simplest option for independent travellers. Swiss railway operator SBB lists Paris to Basel at about 3 hours, Geneva about 3 hours 20 minutes, Lausanne about 3 hours 40 minutes and Zurich about 4 hours. Advance second-class fares start from about CHF 28 (approx. INR 3,200), and bookings open around 120 days before travel, so book as soon as your dates are fixed. Choose Basel or Zurich for Lucerne and Interlaken, and Geneva or Lausanne if you want Lake Geneva and Montreux.
Coach: most group departures cross from France into Switzerland by coach. It takes most of a day, but the coach goes hotel to hotel and your luggage stays on board, which matters for seniors and families with big suitcases.
Flight: once you add airport transfers and security, flying Paris to Zurich rarely beats the city-centre-to-city-centre train.
Getting around Switzerland: the Swiss Travel Pass
The Swiss Travel Pass currently costs CHF 254 for 3 days, CHF 309 for 4 days and CHF 399 for 6 days in second class (approx. INR 29,300, INR 35,700 and INR 46,100). Pass holders get 25% off the Jungfraujoch fare, and children aged 6 to 15 travel free with a parent on the free Swiss Family Card. Prices for 2027 may change slightly.
Getting around Paris
A single metro or RER ticket costs Euro 2.55 (approx. INR 270) and is loaded onto a Navigo Easy card (Euro 2). A one-day pass is Euro 12.30 (approx. INR 1,300), and the airport ticket between Charles de Gaulle and central Paris on RER B is Euro 14 (approx. INR 1,500).

Visa for a France and Switzerland Package
One Schengen visa covers both countries. You apply to the country that is your main destination, usually where you spend the most nights, so a 3-night Paris and 4-night Switzerland plan normally means a Swiss visa. If no main destination can be determined, you apply to the country you enter first, which is France when you fly into Paris.
- Fee: Euro 90 (approx. INR 9,500) for adults and Euro 45 (approx. INR 4,800) for children aged 6 to 11, plus the VFS Global service fee, reported at INR 2,690 for Switzerland and INR 2,234 for France.
- Timing: you can apply up to six months before travel. Processing takes about 15 days, often longer before summer, so book your appointment early.
- Insurance: travel medical insurance with at least Euro 30,000 cover, valid across the Schengen area.
Dewan Holidays helps with visitor-visa documentation and VFS appointments through our Switzerland visa service. The embassy makes the final decision, and this section is general information, not legal or immigration advice.
Best Time to Go and When to Book
- May, June and September: long days and pleasant weather in both countries, with flight fares usually below the July–August peak.
- July and August: school-holiday peak with the highest fares and busiest trains, so book early.
- December: Christmas lights in Paris and snow in the Alps, but fares rise sharply around Christmas and New Year.
- January and February: some of the lowest fares from Delhi, but cold days and short daylight.
Jungfraujoch has snow and ice all year, so even a summer trip gives you a snow day. A simple booking timeline: fix your package and flights 4 to 6 months ahead, book TGV seats when sales open about 120 days out, book Eiffel Tower tickets when they are released around 60 days before, and lock in your visa appointment as soon as your flights are confirmed.
For vegetarian travellers, Paris has many Indian restaurants, especially around Gare du Nord, and Lucerne and Interlaken have Indian options too.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many days are enough for Paris and Switzerland?
Seven nights is the comfortable minimum: 3 in Paris and 4 in Switzerland. Six nights works if you accept just 2 nights in Paris.
How much does a Paris Switzerland tour package from India cost?
Our listed 6 to 7-night tours start from about INR 2 lakh per person, or about INR 4 lakh per couple. The final price depends on the season, the hotel category and whether flights are included.
Do I need two visas for France and Switzerland?
No, one Schengen visa covers both. Apply to the country where you spend the most nights, or to France if you enter there and no main destination can be determined.
Is the train or the bus better from Paris to Switzerland?
The TGV Lyria train is faster, at about 3 to 4 hours. A coach is slower but convenient on a group tour because it goes hotel to hotel with your luggage.
Can I add London to a Paris and Switzerland package?
Yes, a London, Paris and Swiss package is possible, but you need a separate UK visitor visa as well as the Schengen visa. Allow at least two extra nights and apply for both visas early.
What is the best month for a Switzerland and Paris tour?
May, June and September give the best balance of weather, daylight and price. Choose December if you want snow and Christmas lights and can pay peak fares.
